What is the Folder file property?

Folder is a container for files. Folder used to be called directory as in Unix. A Windows system can be compared to a filing cabinet: a folder is equivalent to a cardboard folder that holds sheets of paper, which are files, and the folders are suspended in a drawer of the filing cabinet, which is a drive. The filing cabinet itself is the computer, which can have several drawers, each of which is a drive. In DDFileCatcher, folders always end in a backslash to differentiate them from files without extensions. Folders do not have some file properties that files have. They do not for example have a filename, extension or size. If only those 3 properties were selected in DDFileCatcher, the line for the folder would appear blank.

Folder is a file property in a category we call File information.

We call file information properties properties that all files have, such as "Size" and "Date Created".
